BORGES
VINEYARD, ST HELENA. Located on the valley floor in the heart of
St. Helena, this world class vineyard lends itself for the "classic
cab" nuances including cigarette smoke, dry tobacco, dark cherries
and Belgian chocolate. |

SHIFFLETT
VINEYARD, Napa. Our
Cabernet Franc and Merlot are sourced from the gradual sloping Shifflett Vineyard, just south of Yountville.
Here, the gravelly soil produces a wine that is lavishly textured with ripe fruit.
We have been known to source Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah
from this world-class vineyard site located just south of Yountville. |

| RAMAZZOTTI VINEYARD, DRY CREEK. Dry Creek Valley is synonymous for quality when it comes to Zinfandel. This super-premium Dry Creek vineyard soil is the classic Dry Creek clay loam that makes the area famous. It is dry-farmed and lies on the east side of the valley with vines that are head-trained without a trellis system. The small crop from these old vines is super-concentrated and, in this case, was very high in sugar. Our 2004 Zinfandel is aromatic, fat and powerful. It has classic Dry Creek dark and dried fruit characters of blackberry and prune with black pepper and mild oak on the nose and a delectable, round mid-palate. |

WOOD VINEYARD, RUTHERFORD. This is the dark (but good) side of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, filled with black cherry, dark chocolate and rich coffee. The perfect winter wine, it is not for the faint of heart. The tannins are strong yet refined; the flavors are of ripe blackberry, with an herbaceous edge of Italian spices. There's a little bit of black pepper spice in the long elegant finish. |

GRODAHL
VINEYARD, YOUNTVILLE. Located in the Yountville Appellation of
the Napa Valley at the foot of the Mayacamas Range, this hillside location
with well-drained, rocky soils, provides a natural birthplace for great
Sangiovese; elegant cherry spice, complex notes of vanillin oak and a
fascinating mineral nuance. |

BACIGALUPI
VINEYARD, RUSSIAN RIVER. The Bacigalupi Vineyard is located on
benchland along Westside Road within the fog belt of the Russian River
Valley. Our 2003 Pinot Noir exhibits classic red berries and a
delicious earthiness on it's way to a fantastic finish while our
Chardonnay exhibits classic fruit & mineral aromas with a rich mid-palate
and length of finish typical of what these vines produce. Planted
with Dijon clones, the vines are low yielding, producing fruit of
intensely focused yet elegant flavors. |
STAGECOACH
VINEYARD, ATLAS PEAK. The Stagecoach Vineyard rests
on the southern face of Pritchard Hill adjoining Eastern Oakville from an
elevation of 900 to over 1,700 feet. Supporting a myriad of different exposures, terroirs and varietals, it is truly one of the most intriguing sites in
the Napa Valley. Red, rocky, volcanic soils challenge the vines to express
themselves each year. Wines of concentration, character and complexity
are expected from these mountain vineyards by renowned winemakers from
all over the Napa Valley and the rest of the world. This Pritchard
Hill setting is fast becoming a Mecca for producers of some of the world's
most amazing Cabernet Sauvignons. |

DURELL
VINEYARD, SONOMA VALLEY. The Durell Vineyard lies in the southwestern
Sonoma Valley. San Pablo Bay, about
10 miles away, provides reliable cooling breezes most afternoons throughout
the growing season. These breezes and the frequent fogs that spill over
the hills from the west keep the vineyard cool and allow the slow ripening
that results in full yet finely-flavored Chardonnay. The soil is very
shallow which stresses the vines and produces a particularly intensely
flavored wine. |
